My mother has always been an inspiration for me since childhood. Like every mother I have seen her face every hardship with a smile.
Despite having a full time job she cooked fresh meals everyday no matter how tired she was and whatever pressures she was facing at work there was not a shadow of anger in her demeanor at home. There was a slot of family time every evening in our home, where my parents encouraged us to share our daily activities with them. She taught me the value of hard work. She tirelessly took care of my father who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
After Omar’s autism diagnosis she told me how I should address this and what my parenting style should be like.
We all need our mothers for support but a mother who is a positive thinker and who lifts you up constantly is no less than a treasure.
So Amma Thank you for always being my biggest supporter and critic. I have so much to learn from you about hard work, consistency and perseverance.
