Speech Therapy

One of the most common problems in autistic children is deficits in communication, which makes speech therapy an important part of the intervention. It’s a long and exhausting process for some children who have co-morbidities or a dual-diagnosis.

Speech disorders include articulation, fluency, resonance, receptive, expressive, cognitive-communication, stuttering, apraxia, aphasia and dysarthria. The treatment period depends on underlying medical condition, age and severity.
